Catching up: Cats on Glass

On Friday, Stephen saw an ad for Cats on Glass, a pop up art exhibit the next day featuring cats on glass platforms. It said "Cancel everything!" And we did.

The kids were not super excited at first, since it meant leaving home before ten on a Saturday (gasp!), but soon warmed up as they kept finding one kooky exhibit after another.

In addition to the main event (which was cute but underwhelming) there were tons of cat-themed activities/photo ops.

There was a feather boa picture wall and several giant sparkly cat statues.

There was a sketch artist who would "catify" you. Some kids declined to get in touch with their feline side, but they all posed for a sketch.

There was a pom pom playground, with optional dorky cat sunglasses.

There were giant yarn balls for the kids to bat around.

There was a "meditation station" where you could use cat hear headphones to listen to New Age music, underlayered with cat purrs and meows to help you relax.

And, a general favorite, giant cat heads. How could you not love this place?

It even transforms teenagers from grumpy to gleeful! Check out the before and after pictures...
