Hidden New York Treasure

We spent Saturday downtown exploring a soon-to-be-extinct New York must see. The Forbes' Galleries have a glorious collection of toy boats and toy soldiers, collected by the Forbes brothers later in life. We are talking hundreds of boats and thousands of soldiers from different decades. It was fascinating. They also have the oldest surviving copy of the original Monopoly game, and several other early versions of the game. It was a really interesting exhibit, and sadly, it will be closed down in two weeks. I am really glad we got the chance to see it while it was still here. There were no pictures allowed in the gallery, so you will just have to take my word for it that it was awesome and that my cute kids enjoyed themselves.
