Happy Halloween!

Halloween this year was action packed! We kicked it off by going to a neighborhood party two Saturdays before Halloween. We carved pumpkins, played games, got our faces painted, met Elmo, and (of course!) got candy. The next Saturday was our ward party. Rose was Little Bo Peep (she had been planning it for MONTHS) so I went as her sheep. Everyone thought I was a goofy looking rabbit, but that's OK. John was a monkey (he picked out his costume himself) so we called him Curious George and made Stephen a big yellow hat thus transforming him into...the man with the yellow hat (he doesn't have a name). We played games, ate tasty food, and (of course) got tons of candy. That Monday we carved pumpkins for Family Home Evening. We couldn't decide on a design, so our pumpkin had a bat, a ghost, AND a witch on it.

On the actual day itself Rose's friend Loretta spent the day with is, which made everything even more exciting for Rose. We had a big party at Preschool on the Planet (games, crafts, music, and treats!), a party at our pediatrician's office (John won the costume contest), a neighborhood get together to exchange candy (more visiting than swapping candy), plus we met up with Stephen and Loretta's dad Randy and went trick or treating at the stores down Broadway (that is where the loot is!). We are still recovering, and still eating candy.
