Gobble Gobble!

For Thanksgiving we went to my sister Karen's house in Maryland. Meema (my mom) came and picked us up and drove us there and back. (So spoiled!) We had tons of fun visiting with family. We got to meet baby Toby for the first time, since Aunt Becca flew out with him. It was neat to see how different the boys' personalities are even so early in life. Rose can never get enough of Madyn, so she was in heaven. Of course, since they are both strong willed two year olds, there were some fireworks now and then, but even those were fun! We had dinner with Uncle Brandon's family (so nice!) and ate way too much (so delicious!) It was also great to see Pop Pop (my dad) and Uncle Matt (my brother). We are thankful for our wonderful family and friends.

Bananas for Birthdays!

Happy birthday to Rose! We celebrated the big 2 with a Curious George themed party and did all kinds of monkeying around. We watched the movie, of course, and read some of the books. We played some monkey games, like banana bean bag toss and pin the tail on the monkey, etc. We also ate lots of bananas, some chicken that looked like Curious George, and even had a monkey cake. Stephen made her some Curious George wrapping paper, and she got all kinds of loot.

The next day we celebrated my birthday (one day early) by going to see Happy Feet. It was our first time going to the movies as a family and both kids behaved wonderfully. Then we went to the Stardust Diner, where the wait staff are all struggling actors/musicians trying to make it on Broadway. They periodically burst into song, which Stephen endured and the rest of us loved. It was a fantastic birthday weekend.
