It's a boy!

We would like to officially welcome John Evan Winston to our family. He was born August 17, 2006 at 5:28pm. He weighed 7lbs 15oz and was 20.5 inches long. His most striking features were his full head of dark hair and his tomato red complexion. His color has faded but his hair is spikier than ever! He was two and a half weeks early, but has been very healthy. In fact, there was a knot in his umbilical cord, so it was a very good thing he came when he did and avoided severe complications. Rose was a little slow to warm up to him, but now she loves "Baby John" and can't give him enough kisses and hugs. Neither can mom and dad!

Another fun announcement is that John was preceded into this world by his cousin Tobias John Brown. Toby was due one month before John, but they ended up being only ONE DAY apart! I guess they just couldn't stand to be apart for long. So fun!
